With over 15 years of experience spanning greenfield prospect generation to operational roles in open pit and underground mining projects, Dr. Warren offers unmatched technical and leadership expertise. He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Western Australia, where his research focused on a mineral systems approach to exploration targeting.
Dr. Warren’s career highlights include roles at Gold Fields St Ives in exploration and underground geology, Phoenix Gold, and the CSIRO Mineral and Hydrothermal Geochemistry team. As Exploration Manager at Echo Resources, he led the growth of the company’s resource base from 350 koz Au to over 1.5 Moz, culminating in the $240 million acquisition by Northern Star Resources.
As a founding member of Tali Resources Pty Ltd, Dr. Warren established the geological framework for mineralisation in the West Arunta region of Western Australia, driving project generation and acquisition. His leadership secured a $55 million farm-in agreement with Rio Tinto to explore for IOCG deposits. Notably, WA1 Ltd, born from Tali’s assets, made a significant niobium discovery, known as the Luni deposit, achieving a $1 billion market valuation and becoming one of the top-performing ASX resource stocks of the past decade.
