His insights have been pivotal in contextualising drill results, establishing benchmarks for Tier 1 and Tier 2 project classification, and embedding these critical metrics into the proprietary Discovery IQ model.
With over 30 years of experience in the resources industry, Richard is a Registered Professional Geologist with the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Qualified Person for reporting under both TSX (NI 43-101) and ASX (JORC) standards.
During his 22-year tenure as the Principal Resource Geologist at Resolute Mining, Richard contributed significantly to development drilling, resource and reserve estimation, feasibility studies, and production for projects across Ghana, Mali, Tanzania, the Eastern Goldfields, and Queensland. His extensive portfolio also includes consultancy roles, applying cutting-edge resource modelling techniques and mining software solutions.
Richard’s diverse expertise covers a range of commodities, including gold, nickel, iron ore, manganese, mineral sands, and bauxite, with hands-on experience in prominent projects such as the Marymia Gold Mine (WA), Boroo Gold Mine (Mongolia), Syama Gold Project (Mali), and Mt Gibson Iron Project (WA), among many others.
His expertise of 3D resource modelling, grade interpolation techniques, and feasibility assessments has been integral to shaping Discovery Alert’s automated model, with his insights embedded into the Discovery IQ system to enhance its accuracy in evaluating ecenomic early drill hole data potential.
