    The collaboration between Livium and the University of Melbourne will enable the design and construction of an Australian-first prototype.     Livium will fund the research with an initial investment of approximately A$65,000, potentially increasing to A$250,000 contingent on achieving two key project milestones:

    1. Securing grant support for the Prototype Scale Microwave Reactor
    2. Delivery of REE product test results from this reactor

    A grant application has already been submitted to Australia's Economic Accelerator (AEA) Ignite program to support the research project.

Initially, this allows us to secure the waste stream either directly to customers or for processing through technology," explained Linge.

    In addition to the University of Melbourne partnership, Livium is actively assessing other REE extraction technologies both in Australia and internationally, ensuring it maintains a competitive edge in this developing market.
