Exceptional Antimony Discovery Propels Resolution Minerals' Idaho Project

Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML; OTCQB: RLMLF) has reported exceptional rockchip and soil sampling results from its Horse Heaven Gold-Antimony-Silver-Tungsten Project in Idaho, USA, revealing some of the highest antimony discovery from Resolution Minerals Ltd grades ever recorded at the project alongside impressive gold and silver values.

Record-Breaking Antimony Grades Highlight Project Potential

The latest sampling program at the Antimony Ridge target has returned truly exceptional results, including a standout grab sample containing **49.8% antimony (Sb), 1,420 g/t silver (Ag) and 3.12 g/t gold (Au)**—the highest grades ever recorded at Horse Heaven. A second sample yielded 10.35% Sb, 68.5 g/t Ag and 4.43 g/t Au.

These samples were collected from a historical antimony mine as part of Resolution's comprehensive data verification program. The material consists predominantly of massive stibnite, an antimony sulfide mineral that represents premium-quality ore.

"Not all Antimony is equal. High grades around 50% Sb are truly rare and usually reflect crystalline antimony, potentially available for direct shipping ore as an oxide. This is because high grade antimony requires limited processing and is therefore sought after," noted RML's Senior Strategic Advisor, Steve Promnitz.

    Expanded Mineralization Footprint

The soil sampling program has significantly expanded the known mineralized footprint at Antimony Ridge, defining a substantial NE-SW trending zone of antimony-silver-gold mineralization measuring 1,000m x 700m, with soil assays reaching up to 0.5% Sb, 0.9g/t Au and 68g/t Ag.

This expanded zone significantly enhances the project's prospectivity, suggesting a much larger system of mineralized veins and breccias than previously recognized. The soil sampling results have also indicated the potential for additional parallel mineralization zones beyond those exposed in historical trenches and mine workings.

"We are very encouraged with the recent sampling program results from Antimony Ridge, which indicate that the mineralised target is larger than initially thought. As we expand outwards from the immediate area of the historic workings, we look to expand the target even further. Indeed, Horse Heaven is revealing itself to be a much larger opportunity as we conduct modern multi-disciplined exploration across the project area. It's potential as a very significant antimony discovery from Resolution Minerals Ltd, gold, silver and tungsten project is crystalising," said Craig Lindsay, CEO of U.S. Operations.

Understanding Stibnite: The Primary Source of Antimony

Stibnite is an antimony sulfide mineral that serves as the primary ore mineral for antimony production. Pure stibnite contains approximately 71.7% antimony by molecular weight, which explains why the highest-grade sample (visually estimated to contain 75-90% stibnite) returned an assay of 49.8% antimony.

This is significant because high-grade antimony ore with minimal impurities commands premium prices in the market, particularly for applications requiring high purity such as flame retardants, batteries, and defense applications.

What is Antimony and Why Does it Matter?

Antimony is a brittle, silvery-white metalloid with chemical symbol Sb. It's classified as a critical mineral by many countries including the United States, primarily due to:

    1. Limited global production: China dominates global antimony production, controlling approximately 60% of world supply
    2. Strategic applications: Used in flame retardants, lead-acid batteries, ammunition, and various defense applications
    3. Supply risk: The United States currently imports 100% of its antimony needs
    4. Growing demand: Increasing use in battery technology and the semiconductor industry

High-grade antimony deposits (above 5%) are relatively rare globally, making Resolution's high-grade antimony discovery from Resolution Minerals Ltd particularly significant from both economic and strategic perspectives.

    Historical Context Supports New Findings

The recent discoveries build upon previously reported channel sampling results from the area, which included:

    • 3.68 g/t gold, 303 g/t silver and 2.72% antimony over 4m
    • 1.33 g/t gold, 367 g/t silver and 13.75% antimony over 1m
    • 4.65 g/t gold, 70.5 g/t silver and 19.15% antimony over 1m
    • 3.21 g/t gold, 178 g/t silver and 0.37% antimony over 3m
    • 5.99 g/t gold, 246 g/t silver and 0.71% antimony over 1m

Historical drilling at Antimony Ridge had previously intersected significant gold mineralization, including 2.11 g/t Au over 9.14m in drill hole 87-GGR-12 and 1.15 g/t Au over 9.14m in 87-GGR-16, though these holes were not assayed for antimony.

Strategic Position in a Premier Mining District

The Horse Heaven Project is strategically located adjacent to Perpetua Resources' large Stibnite Gold Project, positioning Resolution in a premier mining district known for significant antimony-gold mineralization. The United States currently imports 100% of its antimony, making domestic sources increasingly valuable from a strategic supply perspective.

This location advantage provides not only geological similarities but also potential infrastructure benefits as both projects progress.

    Ongoing Exploration and Next Steps

Resolution has already completed six core drill holes at the Golden Gate target within the project area, totaling 1,513 meters, with the seventh hole currently in progress. The first two holes have been submitted for assaying, with results pending.

Follow-up work at Antimony Ridge will include:

    1. Additional rockchip sampling and mapping
    2. Bulk sampling for preliminary metallurgical test work
    3. A planned drilling program to test the expanded target area

Resolution is also collecting representative samples of antimony from stibnite-silica vein exposures for preliminary metallurgical testing, a critical step toward understanding processing requirements and recovery rates.

Why Investors Should Watch Resolution Minerals

Resolution Minerals presents a compelling investment opportunity as it advances its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho. The exceptionally high-grade antimony results, coupled with significant gold and silver values, highlight the potential for a substantial polymetallic resource in a strategic jurisdiction.

With antimony designated as a critical mineral by the US government and domestic supply virtually non-existent, Resolution is well-positioned to capitalize on growing demand for secure antimony sources. The expanded mineralization footprint at Antimony Ridge significantly enhances the project's scale potential, while ongoing drilling at Golden Gate provides near-term catalysts for the company.

As modern exploration techniques continue to reveal the true extent of mineralization across the project area, Resolution Minerals stands poised to unlock significant value from what appears to be an increasingly substantial antimony-gold-silver system in Idaho.
