High-Grade Gold Discovery Boosts Solstice Minerals' Exploration Portfolio

Solstice Minerals (ASX: SLS) has announced significant high-grade gold intercepts from its recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Edjudina Range discovery within its Yarri Project in Western Australia. The results confirm the presence of primary gold mineralisation in fresh rock, substantially enhancing the prospect's potential.

Fresh Rock Gold Confirms Significant Discovery Potential

Recent drilling at Edjudina Range has returned impressive results, with standout intercepts including 8m @ 3.40g/t Au from 72m, including 4m @ 6.00g/t Au in hole EDRRC003, and 4m @ 2.89g/t Au from 94m and 4m @ 1.04g/t Au from 70m in hole EDRRC007.

These results are particularly significant as they confirm gold mineralisation extends into fresh rock material below the shallow oxide mineralisation identified in earlier drilling campaigns. This represents a crucial development in understanding the true scale of the Edjudina Range discovery.

The gold mineralisation at Edjudina Range now extends over a strike length of at least 1km and is associated with silicification, carbonate alteration, quartz veinlets, and arsenic pathfinder anomalism within a mafic schist host – classic indicators of a substantial gold system.

"Confirmation of primary gold mineralisation below Solstice's initial gold hits is a validation of the exciting potential of the Edjudina Range discovery and of the Company's strategy to systematically test new soil-covered structural targets in the gold and infrastructure-rich Yarri setting," said Nick Castlden, Solstice Minerals' CEO and Managing Director.

    Strategic Position in Gold-Rich Terrain

The Edjudina Range discovery is part of Solstice's broader Yarri Gold Project, which encompasses approximately 1,600km² of carefully selected exploration landholdings in a region known for significant gold deposits. Importantly, the project area benefits from:

    • Proximity to existing mining operations
    • Access to dedicated haul roads
    • Ore processing facilities typically within 50-100km

This infrastructure-rich setting means that even modest-scale gold mineralisation has potential to be commercialised, as demonstrated by the company's recent $10 million sale of its Hobbes tenement in 2024.

    Expanding Gold Footprint

Recent step-out aircore drilling has further expanded the potential of Edjudina Range, identifying new gold anomalism near the base of oxidation in the northern part of the prospect. Results include 8m @ 0.46g/t Au to end of hole in EDRAC075, with mineralisation remaining open along strike to the north.

The company is now planning additional RC and aircore drilling to further define and expand the discovery, with a focus on testing extensions along strike and at depth.

Understanding Gold Mineralisation: What Makes This Discovery Significant

The gold mineralisation at Edjudina Range displays several characteristics that point to its potential significance:

    1. Primary mineralisation in fresh rock: The confirmation of gold in unoxidized bedrock indicates the system continues at depth, beyond surface weathering.

    2. Extensive strike length: At least 1km of mineralised strike has been identified, with potential for extension.

    3. Classic gold system indicators: The association with silicification, carbonate alteration, quartz veinlets, and arsenic pathfinder anomalism are textbook indicators of significant gold systems in the region.

    4. Structural setting: The prospect is located near the regionally significant Mt Celia Fault and Pinjin Fault Systems, which control much of the gold mineralisation in the district.

Gold Mineralisation in the Eastern Goldfields

Gold deposits in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields typically form along major structural corridors, where deep-reaching faults act as conduits for gold-bearing fluids. The Edjudina Range discovery shows characteristics consistent with many economic gold deposits in the region:

    • Located within a major shear zone system
    • Association with quartz veining and specific alteration signatures
    • Presence of pathfinder elements (particularly arsenic)
    • Continuity of mineralisation along strike

Gold mineralisation in these systems often improves at depth as it transitions from weathered oxide material to fresh rock. The recent high-grade intercepts in fresh rock at Edjudina Range are particularly encouraging as they confirm the presence of a primary gold system rather than simply secondary enrichment in the weathered zone.

Diversified Asset Portfolio Provides Multiple Growth Avenues

Beyond Edjudina Range, Solstice Minerals has been systematically building a portfolio of high-potential gold and copper assets across Western Australia's Goldfields region:

    • Bluetooth Gold Prospect: Located 24km along strike from Edjudina Range, recent Phase III RC drilling returned strong shallow intercepts including 32m @ 1.68g/t Au, 16m @ 1.49g/t Au, and 12m @ 1.29g/t Au.

    • Nanadie Copper-Gold Project: Near Meekatharra, this advanced project holds an Inferred Mineral Resource of 40.4Mt @ 0.4% copper and 0.1g/t gold for 162kt of contained copper and 130koz gold, with extension targets already identified.

Strong Financial Position to Drive Exploration

With a cash position of approximately $15 million as of June 30, 2025, Solstice is well-funded to maintain an active exploration program across its portfolio. This financial strength provides the flexibility to advance key prospects toward mineral resource definition while continuing to test new targets.

Why Investors Should Follow Solstice Minerals

Solstice Minerals presents a compelling investment case for those seeking exposure to gold and copper exploration in Western Australia's premier mining districts:

    1. Strategic land position in one of Australia's most prolific gold provinces

    2. Multiple discovery opportunities across a diversified portfolio of gold and copper projects

    3. Infrastructure advantages that lower the economic threshold for development

    4. Strong cash position of $15 million to fund ongoing exploration

    5. Proven exploration methodology delivering consistent results
