  • Outstanding Results Extend Mineralisation Footprint Beyond 20km²

The latest drilling campaign has delivered exceptional results from 63 Air Core (AC) holes at Rosewood, with multiple high-grade intercepts confirming continuity, substantial thickness, and impressive grades across the prospect. The mineralised zone now extends over an area exceeding 20 square kilometers and remains open to the north.

    Standout intersections include:

    • 25RW021: 9m @ 15.1% HM from 10m, including 3m @ 26.4% HM
    • 25RW030: 11m @ 16.4% HM from 6m, including 7m @ 23.8% HM and 1m @ 55.7% HM
    • 25RW037: 7m @ 17.4% HM from 6m, including 3m @ 30.1% HM
    • 25RW052: 17m @ 7.8% HM from 8m, including 6m @ 15.2% HM

These results confirm the presence of exceptionally high-grade mineralisation at shallow depths, with numerous holes ending in high-grade material, indicating significant potential for further resource expansion to the north.

    Two Distinct High-Grade Strandlines Identified

The drilling program has revealed two well-defined, north-south trending high-grade zones within the broader mineralised envelope:

    1. Rosewood East: Features a high-grade envelope ranging from 600m to 3,000m in width, extending over 3,600m in length and remaining open northward. The strandline appears to widen to the north, with all sixteen holes drilled in the northern area intersecting at least 10m at greater than 8.5% HM.

    2. Rosewood West: Shows overlapping mineralised zones that are thickening to the north, with strong intercepts including 21m @ 6.0% HM from 6m in the northernmost drill hole.

"The Phase 2 drill results have returned some of our best drill intercepts to date. These results have extended the high-grade mineralisation up to 1.6 kilometers further north with the mineralised envelope now exceeding 20 km². Two distinct zones of continuous mineralisation are now evident from the drilling, they are strongly mineralised and remain open to the north," said Peter Reid, Petratherm CEO.

The discovery of high-grade heavy mineral sands at the Rosewood prospect adds significant value to Petratherm's portfolio, positioning it alongside other notable explorers in this space.

Understanding Heavy Mineral Sands (HMS) Deposits

Heavy mineral sands deposits are sedimentary accumulations of dense minerals that have been concentrated by coastal processes. These deposits form when heavy minerals are separated from lighter minerals by the action of waves, currents, and wind along ancient shorelines.

The heavy minerals typically found in these deposits include ilmenite, rutile, and zircon, which are important sources of titanium, zirconium, and other valuable elements. What makes the Rosewood HMS system particularly valuable is the unique confluence of two key factors:

    • The presence of unusually titanium-rich basement source rocks (Muckanippie Suite)
    • An ancient shoreline environment that naturally concentrated these heavy minerals into strandline sand deposits

At Rosewood, these deposits are interpreted as marine strandlines associated with an ancient coastline. This geological setting has created ideal conditions for the formation of high-grade heavy mineral sands at shallow depths, making them potentially economic to extract.

    Upcoming Development Timeline

Petratherm is moving quickly to advance the Rosewood Prospect through several key upcoming initiatives:

    1. Immediate Additional Drilling: Operations are set to commence this week to test northern extensions of the high-grade mineralisation at both Rosewood East and West.

    2. Metallurgical Studies: Bulk sample testing is now underway to:

      • Assess mineral recovery processing
      • Determine potential product mix
      • Evaluate key economic factors
    3. Exploration of Additional Prospects: Assay results from 55 drill holes testing HMS saprolite targets at Duke, Nardoo, and Claypan prospects are expected in coming weeks.

Furthermore, the continued exploration of the Rosewood extension discovery potential suggests that Petratherm's resource footprint could grow substantially in the near future.

Investment Potential: A Possible World-Class Titanium Resource

Petratherm's Rosewood Prospect shows several characteristics that position it as a potentially significant titanium resource with compelling investment attributes:

    1. Exceptional Grade Profile: The consistent high-grade results (consistently exceeding 10% HM across significant thicknesses) compare favourably to other producing HMS operations globally.

    2. Expanding Resource Footprint: With mineralisation extending over 20km² and remaining open in multiple directions, the ultimate scale of the resource could be substantial.

    3. Shallow Depth: Mineralisation starting at surface to depths of approximately 30m suggests favourable mining economics with low strip ratios.

    4. Strategic Mineral: Titanium is classified as a critical mineral by many governments due to its importance in aerospace, defence, and industrial applications.

    5. Processing Potential: Initial testing will determine recoveries and mineral assemblage, key factors in evaluating the project's commercial viability.

    Why Investors Should Follow Petratherm

Petratherm represents an attractive proposition for investors seeking exposure to the critical minerals sector for several key reasons:

    1. Early-Stage Discovery Potential: The company is in the early stages of defining what appears to be a significant heavy mineral sands resource, offering substantial upside if development progresses positively.

    2. Critical Minerals Focus: Titanium minerals are essential for numerous high-tech and industrial applications, with secure supply chains becoming increasingly important geopolitically.

    3. Multiple Catalysts: With ongoing drilling, metallurgical testing, and exploration of additional prospects, investors can expect a steady flow of news over coming months.

    4. Experienced Management: The company is demonstrating a systematic, well-executed exploration approach to rapidly advance understanding of the resource potential.

"Step out extensional drilling will commence later this week which is expected to further extend the Rosewood strandline systems. In addition, bulk sample metallurgical studies are now getting underway which will provide an initial assessment of key elements of the project including mineral recovery processing and potential product mix. This will provide further insight into the quality of the Rosewood prospect," noted Peter Reid.

With titanium minerals playing a crucial role in various industries and the potential for Rosewood to develop into a significant resource, Petratherm presents a compelling opportunity for investors interested in the critical minerals space. Additionally, recent high-grade results from drilling at other projects in the sector show the increasing value proposition of critical minerals exploration.

The company's approach aligns with broader industry trends as more explorers are expanding resource portfolios through strategic acquisitions and exploration, highlighting the growing importance of Narryer Metals Ltd Heavy Mineral Sands and similar projects in the critical minerals supply chain.
