Sierra Nevada Gold Drills High-Grade Gold-Silver-Polymetallic Breccia at As Safra

Sierra Nevada Gold (ASX: SNX) has reported a previously unrecognised high-grade gold-silver-polymetallic breccia system at its 100%-owned As Safra Copper-Gold Project in Saudi Arabia. Two reverse circulation drill holes intersected mineralisation beneath shallow cover, approximately 400 metres south of the Central Copper Zone. The discovery broadens the geological model beyond the project's previously recognised copper-gold skarn mineralisation.

Furthermore, the results support the view that only a small part of the known 5.5 kilometre mineralised corridor has been drill tested. The reported intercepts combine gold, silver, zinc, lead and copper in a new mineralisation style that appears geochemically distinct from the main copper-dominant skarn zones. For investors, the main implication is that As Safra may host multiple exploration opportunities within the same broader hydrothermal system.

The Drill Results That Define the Discovery

The company's announcement centred on holes ASRC0011 and ASRC0012, both of which returned mineralised intervals from shallow depths.

All intercepts were reported by SNX as downhole widths, with the company stating that true width and overall geometry are not yet known.

The strongest silver result came from ASRC0012, which returned 11 metres at 108.7 g/t silver within a broader 17-metre interval. Zinc and lead grades were also notable in that hole.

Meanwhile, ASRC0011 showed mineralisation from surface, including 13 metres at 1.14 g/t gold. In early-stage exploration, shallow intercepts with multiple payable metals can change the scale and focus of a drill programme, particularly when they occur outside the project's main interpreted zone.

"This discovery represents much more than another drill intersection. It materially advances our understanding of the As Safra mineral system," said Adam Oehlman, CEO of Sierra Nevada Gold.

"We now have evidence that the system evolved through multiple mineralising stages and was capable of producing copper-gold skarn mineralisation, skarn Au-dominant zones and precious-metal-rich polymetallic breccias."

Why the New Breccia Changes the As Safra Exploration Model

In the announcement, Sierra Nevada Gold confirmed multiple mineralising events at As Safra. Previously, the project had been primarily associated with copper-gold skarn and related replacement mineralisation near the Central Copper Zone. However, the new discovery introduces a separate Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn-rich breccia style, located away from the main central target.

This distinction is relevant because different mineralisation styles can point to different parts of a larger mineral system. In practical terms, it increases the number of geological settings that may now be considered prospective across the corridor.

The company also noted that the breccia has geochemical characteristics consistent with an intermediate-sulphidation affinity. Mineralisation was accompanied by elevated antimony, manganese and cadmium, with relatively low bismuth and tellurium compared with the copper-dominant skarn style. That geochemical contrast supports SNX's interpretation of the breccia as a distinct event within the broader system.

Its position 400 metres south of the Central Copper Zone demonstrates that mineralisation is not confined to the historically recognised workings. SNX explicitly stated that only a small proportion of the corridor has been tested by drilling to date. In addition, the company confirmed the discovery validates its integrated exploration approach, which combines:
