Dr. James Warren

(PhD, BSc (Hons), MAIG)

Dr. Warren holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Western Australia, he is a geologist with over 15 years of multi-commodity experience with a focus on the discovery of precious metals, base metals, & some specialty metals including Lithium & Rare Earths. He’s a member of Australian Institute of Geoscientists & a Competent Person as of the JORC 2012 ASX requirements.

Dr. Warren has experience spanning from Greenfield prospect generation & discovery through to resource generation, he has held senior operational roles in open pit, underground and exploration environments & has significant ASX corporate experience.

Dr. Warren was previously Exploration Manager at Echo Resources Ltd (ASX:EAR) where he oversaw the exploration strategy and growth of Echo’s resource base to over 1.8 Moz which led to an eventual $240m takeover by Norther Star Resources Ltd (ASX:NST).

Recently Dr. Warren headed up the private enterprise Tali Resources where he drove target generation, project acquisition and company promotion with Rio Tinto Exploration which ultimately led to Tali entering into a farm-in agreement with Rio Tinto Exploration worth over $58m.

Richard Bray

BSc Geology / Computer Science / RPGeo (AIG)

Richard Bray holds a BSc in Geology and Computer Science, along with the RPGeo (Registered Professional Geologist) designation from the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG). With over 30 years of experience in various aspects of the mining industry, demonstrating expertise in areas such as mineral resource estimation, exploration, project development, feasibility studies, due diligence, M&A assessments, and mining operations.

His continuous professional development as a geologist and broad experience across various levels of the mining industry makes him an attribute to Discovery Alert and the early evaluation of mineral discoveries. He possesses a deep understanding of reporting standards like JORC (Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee) and NI43-101 (Canadian National Instrument 43-101), as well as skills in grade interpolation techniques and 3D resource modelling, which are all the critical factors Discovery Alert uses to assess early-stage discoveries.

Throughout his career, Richard has been actively involved in significant mining projects across different regions, including Australia and Africa. Some notable projects he has contributed to include Marymia, Chalice, Bullabulling, Bulong and Higginsville in Western Australia, Ravenswood and Mt Wright in Queensland, Golden Pride in Tanzania, and Obotan, Namdini, and Syama in Ghana and Mali, respectively.

Richard's extensive experience in discovery, development, and operational management of major mining projects showcases his expertise in resource estimation. His dedication, professional attitude, and keen understanding of economic valuation of mineral deposits, contribute to accurate and responsible work practises. His familiarity with various mining software platforms further supports his role in quick assessment and evaluation activities related to mineral discoveries. Overall, Richards extensive experience, technical skills, and commitment to responsible and accurate work make him a valuable asset to Discovery Alert. His broad range of expertise, spanning geology, resource estimation, project management and mine development, positions him as a versatile professional capable of making quick assessments and evaluation of discoveries.
