  • Nimy Resources Uncovers Compelling 16km Gold Corridor at Mons Project

Nimy Resources (ASX: NIM) has announced the identification of a coherent and extensive gold-in-soil anomaly stretching approximately 16 kilometres along the eastern margin of the Mons Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. This marks a significant development for the company's multi-commodity exploration programme and introduces a newly defined priority drill target: the Corporate James Prospect. The Nimy Resources 16km gold corridor at Mons Project represents one of the most compelling surface anomaly systems the company has yet identified.

The results emerge from an ongoing Ultrafine regolith soil sampling programme that commenced in late 2025. Of the 9,222 samples returned from assay to date, the initial analytical focus on 3,076 samples has been sufficient to delineate the anomaly. A further 7,000+ samples remain in collection or laboratory processing, meaning the full picture is still developing.

The Corporate James Prospect: A Defined Priority Target

The highest-priority area within the Nimy Resources 16km gold corridor at Mons Project is the newly named Corporate James Prospect, which has returned the most elevated gold-in-soil results along a 720-metre north-south striking corridor.

The significance of the anomaly extends beyond gold alone. Samples across the Corporate James trend demonstrate consistently elevated concentrations of seven key pathfinder elements alongside gold:

    Pathfinder Element Relevance
Arsenic (As) Classic orogenic gold indicator
Antimony (Sb) Commonly associated with orogenic and intrusion-hosted gold systems
Bismuth (Bi) Characteristic of high-temperature intrusion-related gold
Molybdenum (Mo) Associated with porphyry and intrusion-hosted systems
Silver (Ag) Broad indicator of epithermal to mesothermal mineralisation
Tellurium (Te) Indicative of gold-telluride systems
Tungsten (W) Linked to intrusion-related gold mineralisation

The spatial coherence and multi-element signature together strengthen the geological case that the anomaly reflects a meaningful bedrock source rather than a superficial or transported signal.

"These are extremely promising results. Given the short history of gold exploration in the area now known as the Mons Greenstone Belt, there are several reasons to be very encouraged by what we have seen. The coherence and strength of the gold in soil anomaly along with the pathfinder elements support the potential for gold mineralisation. We are moving forward in designing an initial drill programme to test for the source of the gold anomalies."

    Selected Highlight Assay Results

Among the 3,076 samples assessed from the Corporate James trend, a number of standout results underline the strength of the anomaly at key locations:

Sample ID Au (ppb) As (ppm) Bi (ppm) Mo (ppm) Sb (ppm)
    NRZ07546 15.7 4.3 0.43 1.48 0.227
    NRZ07544 15.4 4.8 0.441 1.59 0.26
    NRZ07569 35.1 3.8 0.499 0.79 0.246
    NRZ07570 34.3 3.8 0.527 0.77 0.251
    NRZ13898 28.6 4.7 0.597 1.58 0.286
    NRZ13897 17.8 4.3 0.61 1.52 0.258
    NRZ07116 12.9 4.5 0.647 1.21 0.213
    NRZ03116 12.9 6.2 0.474 1.67 0.228
    NRZ07542 12.8 5.0 0.378 1.09 0.244

The highest gold values were returned in the northern portions of the trend, suggesting a potential concentration of the anomaly's core that warrants drill testing. Notably, concentrations above are from soil samples using the Ultrafine methodology.

Understanding Pathfinder Elements and Why They Matter

    What Is a Pathfinder Element?

Pathfinder elements are chemical indicators commonly found alongside economic metals such as gold. Because gold itself can be present in very small or dispersed quantities in surface soils — particularly in weathered terrain — geologists use the spatial distribution of associated elements, including arsenic, antimony, bismuth, and tellurium, to map zones where gold mineralisation may be present at depth.

Why Does This Matter for Investors?

The presence of multiple pathfinder elements in coincidence with elevated gold values significantly increases the geological credibility of a surface anomaly. A single elevated gold reading in isolation might reflect contamination, transported material, or an isolated nugget effect.

However, when gold is accompanied by a coherent suite of pathfinder elements across hundreds of metres of strike — as is the case at Corporate James — it points toward a primary, bedrock-hosted source of mineralisation. That is precisely the kind of target that justifies drilling investment.

Geological Context: Why the Mons Greenstone Belt Matters

The Corporate James Prospect sits along the eastern margin of the Mons Greenstone Belt (MGB), where greenstone sequences abut younger granites to the east. This contact zone is geologically significant. The alignment of the gold and pathfinder anomalies with north-northeast to south-southwest trending structures is interpreted to reflect secondary splay faults and shears, which are widely recognised as favourable conduits for gold-bearing fluids in both orogenic and intrusion-hosted gold systems.

The Mons Greenstone Belt spans approximately 80km x 30km across 17 tenements, covering around 3,004km² in a Tier 1 Western Australian jurisdiction. It is situated 370km northeast of Perth and 140km north-northwest of Southern Cross. Furthermore, the gold prospectivity of this eastern greenstone margin had not previously been tested in any systematic way.

Importantly, Nimy's soil sampling was validated through a CSIRO Landscape+ remote regolith mapping programme, which confirmed that anomalous samples were collected from residual soil rather than transported or alluvial material. This adds geological rigour to the interpretation that the anomalies reflect in-situ weathering of mineralised bedrock below.

The area was previously explored for komatiite-hosted nickel. In addition, the new results now confirm a separate and previously unrecognised gold prospectivity along this eastern greenstone contact.

What Comes Next: Catalysts on the Near-Term Horizon

With the Corporate James target now defined and prioritised, the company is moving swiftly toward drill testing. Additional work is also advancing across Nimy's broader project portfolio.

    Near-term exploration activities include:

    1. Drill programme design underway — An initial drill strategy is being formulated to test the bedrock source of the Corporate James anomaly, with drilling planned for the coming quarter
    2. Extensional soil sampling — Strike extensions along the Corporate James trend have been prioritised, potentially extending the defined anomaly beyond its current length; the eastern granite-greenstone contact continues for a further 85km untested along strike
    3. Infill and extension sampling — Priority 2 targets at Masson-Thompson, Sneaky Squirrel, and Palindrome are scheduled for extension and infill sampling as part of the current programme
    4. Database integration — Ongoing integration of soil data with existing geological and geophysical databases to refine targets and generate additional drill candidates

Broader portfolio catalysts for H2 2026:

    Project Activity
Block 3 Gallium Metallurgical test work and economic (scoping) studies ongoing; test material shipment to U.S. completed
Masson Cu-Ni-PGE Geophysical work ongoing to identify source of copper-nickel-PGE mineralisation
Sneaky Squirrel Cu-Zn-Au Geophysical work ongoing to identify source of copper-zinc-gold mineralisation
Corporate James Gold Drill programme design underway; drilling targeted for coming quarter

    A Multi-Commodity Platform: Not a Single-Story Company

One of the more compelling aspects of Nimy's investment case is the diversity of exploration targets within a single, contiguous tenement package. The Nimy Resources 16km gold corridor at Mons Project represents just one component of the Mons Belt's discovery-stage leads across multiple commodity categories:

    • Gold — confirmed as a substantial surface anomaly across a ~16km corridor, with the Corporate James Prospect as the lead target
    • Gallium — an extremely high-grade gallium and rare earth resource was announced in November 2025 at Block 3 East, with a scoping study now underway and high-grade test material shipped to the U.S.
    • Copper-Nickel-PGE — the Masson discovery remains in active geophysical evaluation
    • Copper-Zinc-Gold — the Sneaky Squirrel target remains in active geophysical evaluation

Each of these commodity streams represents a separate exploration pipeline, providing investors with multiple potential news catalysts across a single exploration cycle.

Why Investors Should Be Watching NIM

    Key Investment Considerations

    • Scale of the opportunity — The Nimy Resources 16km gold corridor at Mons Project represents a meaningful surface footprint for potential orogenic or intrusion-hosted gold mineralisation, with a further 85km of untested strike along the eastern granite-greenstone contact
    • Strong geological indicators — Coincident multi-element pathfinder geochemistry, confirmed residual soil context via CSIRO mapping, and structural alignment with known gold-hosting fault systems all support the credibility of the target
    • Catalysts ahead — Drill results from the Corporate James Prospect represent a binary value event; given the anomaly's size and geochemical character, positive drilling outcomes have the potential to materially re-rate the project
    • Sampling programme still expanding — With only 3,076 of 9,222+ samples assessed in this initial release, the full extent of anomalous zones is still being defined
    • Diversified project pipeline — The concurrent advancement of the Block 3 gallium scoping study, Masson geophysics, and Sneaky Squirrel geophysics means Nimy expects to remain active across multiple fronts in H2 2026
    • Tier 1 jurisdiction — The Mons Project is situated in Western Australia, one of the world's most established and investor-friendly mining jurisdictions

    Key Technical Terms Explained

What Do These Geological Terms Mean?

Orogenic gold — Gold formed by hydrothermal fluids associated with tectonic compressional events, typically hosted in shear zones and fault corridors within greenstone belts.

Intrusion-hosted gold — Gold mineralisation spatially and genetically related to magmatic intrusions, often associated with elevated bismuth, molybdenum, and tellurium.

Ultrafine sampling — A patented regolith geochemical sampling methodology that isolates the finest clay-sized fraction of soil (less than 2 microns), which is most effective at detecting subtle bedrock geochemical signals in highly weathered landscapes.

Greenstone belt — An ancient terrane of mafic and ultramafic volcanic and sedimentary rocks, typically highly prospective for gold, nickel, and copper mineralisation.

Residual soil — Soil that has formed in place from the weathering of underlying bedrock, as distinct from transported or alluvial material, making it a reliable indicator of underlying mineralisation.

Pathfinder elements — Elements chemically associated with a target commodity and detectable in soils even where the primary metal itself is at low concentrations.

Nimy Resources has demonstrated that the Mons Greenstone Belt carries genuine district-scale gold potential. The identification of a coherent, ~16km gold and multi-element pathfinder anomaly at Corporate James — supported by rigorous residual soil confirmation via CSIRO mapping — provides a high-quality drill target for H2 2026. With the broader Mons Belt still largely underexplored, and multiple commodity workstreams advancing in parallel, Nimy offers investors exposure to several potential near-term catalysts within a single Western Australian exploration platform.
