Many Peaks Minerals Discovers High-Grade Gold Zones at Ferké Project

Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) has announced significant diamond drilling results at its Ferké Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, with multiple high-grade gold intersections strengthening the project's resource growth potential. The latest assay results highlight expanding mineralisation zones and continuity of high-grade gold within a substantial bulk tonnage target.

Impressive Drill Results Extend High-Grade Gold Mineralisation

The latest diamond drilling campaign at the Ouarigue prospect has delivered several notable intercepts that extend previously identified gold mineralisation:

    • 55.0m @ 2.85g/t gold including 6.0m @ 11.2g/t gold (FNDC077)
    • 31.77m @ 3.37g/t gold including 4.25m @ 16.1g/t gold (FNDC076)
    • 44.0m @ 2.13g/t gold including 7.0m @ 5.38g/t gold (FNDC073)
    • 75m @ 1.14g/t gold including 2m @ 11.3g/t gold (FNDC079)
    • 7.0m @ 4.81g/t gold from surface (FNDC061)

These results demonstrate significant extensions of gold mineralisation both along strike and at depth, with drilling confirming mineralisation up to 140m down-dip from previous drilling. The success has prompted Many Peaks to expand its original 6,000m diamond drilling campaign to over 22,000m.

"Our latest results from Ferké continue to highlight the strong resource growth potential at Ferké, where drilling is successfully extending gold mineralisation both along strike and at depth. The consistency of mineralisation and continuity of grade we are observing supports our confidence in the scale and bulk tonnage extraction potential of this system," said Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger.

    Mineralisation Characteristics and Project Geology

The Ouarigue prospect is centred on a porphyritic intrusion of granodiorite composition that has been pervasively mineralised with a high density of narrow quartz and quartz-carbonate veinlets.

    The 2025 drilling programme has:

    • More than tripled the vertical extent of gold mineralisation
    • Demonstrated strike extensions of gold mineralisation
    • Outlined a substantial bulk tonnage target returning increasing gold grades with depth
    • Confirmed continuity of high-grade zones within the broader mineralised envelope

The prospect covers approximately 1.5km of the more than 37km long Leraba gold trend at Ferké, suggesting significant additional exploration potential along the extensive mineralised corridor.

    Understanding Porphyry-Style Gold Mineralisation

Porphyry-style gold deposits like those at Ferké are significant geological formations characterised by networks of mineralised veins and veinlets within altered intrusive rocks. The term "porphyry" refers to an igneous rock with larger crystals (phenocrysts) set in a fine-grained matrix, creating a distinct texture.

These deposits typically form when mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids rise from a cooling magmatic source and deposit gold and other minerals through a network of fractures. This process creates zones of disseminated mineralisation as well as concentrated zones in veins and fractures.

Key characteristics of porphyry-style gold deposits include:

    • Large size and tonnage potential: These systems can contain substantial volumes of mineralised rock, making them attractive for bulk mining operations.
    • Variable grades: Often feature widespread lower-grade mineralisation (0.3-2.0 g/t gold) with discrete higher-grade zones exceeding 5-10 g/t.
    • Extensive alteration: Host rocks typically show distinctive patterns of hydrothermal alteration that can help guide exploration.
    • Vein networks: Characterised by networks of quartz and quartz-carbonate veins and veinlets carrying gold and other minerals.
    • Consistent mineralisation: The pervasive nature of the mineralisation often leads to relatively consistent grades over significant volumes.

At Ferké, the drilling results suggest the presence of a well-developed porphyry-style system with multiple high-grade zones within a broader mineralised envelope. The increasing grades with depth seen in the recent drilling results are particularly encouraging, as this is a feature sometimes observed in well-preserved porphyry systems.

The granodiorite intrusion at Ouarigue shows extensive development of mineralised quartz veinlets, a classic texture in porphyry-style deposits often referred to as "stockwork" veining. This texture represents the preserved pathways of mineralising fluids that deposited gold within the intrusion.

    Expanding Exploration Footprint

Many Peaks' exploration strategy at Ferké is evolving based on the consistent success of the drilling programme:

    • Diamond drilling will continue through October 2025, with the expanded 22,000m programme targeting the mineralised intrusion and shear-hosted gold mineralisation
    • Follow-up RC drilling of 6,000m is planned to commence in November 2025 to test regional targets
    • Ground geophysics will support the next phase of exploration as weather permits

The company is systematically targeting 50m drill spacing along strike and 60-80m spaced drilling down-dip, with localised 30-40m spaced infill drilling to assess mineralisation continuity.

    Investment Case Strengthens

The latest drilling results at Ferké significantly enhance the investment thesis for Many Peaks Minerals:

    1. Expanding Resource Potential: The consistent high-grade results and expanding mineralisation footprint point toward a substantial maiden resource potential.

    2. Proven Exploration Model: The company's systematic approach to testing the mineralised corridor has yielded consistently positive results, validating the exploration strategy.

    3. Multiple Mining Options: The combination of bulk tonnage mineralisation with high-grade zones provides flexibility for future mining scenarios, including potential open-pit and underground options.

    4. Regional Exploration Upside: With the Ouarigue prospect covering just 1.5km of a 37km mineralised trend, significant additional discovery potential exists within the broader Ferké project area.

    5. Path to Maiden Resource: The expanding drill programme and systematic approach position the company to move toward a maiden resource estimate.

Why Investors Should Follow Many Peaks Minerals

Many Peaks Minerals represents a compelling opportunity for gold-focused investors for several key reasons:

    1. Consistent High-Grade Results: The drilling programme continues to deliver both width and grade, with multiple intercepts over 10g/t gold within broader mineralised envelopes.

    2. Expanding Project Scale: What began as a 6,000m programme has now expanded to over 22,000m of diamond drilling, reflecting the company's growing confidence in the resource potential.

    3. Strategic West African Location: Côte d'Ivoire is an emerging gold province with several major discoveries in recent years, yet remains underexplored compared to neighbouring Ghana and Mali.

    4. Systematic Exploration Approach: The methodical drilling strategy demonstrates a disciplined approach to resource delineation, increasing confidence in future resource estimations.

    5. Upcoming Catalysts: With diamond drilling continuing through October and RC drilling scheduled to commence in November, investors can expect a steady flow of news as the company advances toward defining a maiden resource at Ferké.

As Many Peaks continues to expand the footprint of gold mineralisation at Ferké, the project is demonstrating characteristics of a significant gold system with both bulk tonnage potential and high-grade zones that could support various mining scenarios.
